VDxShouryuv, starring Vijay Deverakonda, began with a traditional pooja ceremony on April 20. The event was attended by actor Nani, who was seen interacting with Deverakonda, creating a buzz among fans.

This collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and director Shouryuv is highly anticipated, especially following the success of Shouryuv's previous project, Hi Nanna.

The film is expected to be a grand spectacle, with Alejandro Martnez, known for his work on House of the Dragon, handling cinematography. The involvement of a high-end VFX team associated with films like Snowpiercer and Gods of Egypt, along with music by Hesham Abdul Wahab, further adds to the film's scale and appeal.

The ceremony

The pooja ceremony was a vibrant affair, with Nani's presence adding to the excitement. He shared an easy camaraderie with Deverakonda as they took part in the rituals together. The film's announcement poster and the lyric video, That’s a Roar, have already generated significant interest online.

The filmmakers shared a video of the ceremony, expressing enthusiasm for the project. They highlighted the collaboration between the talented team members, including Shouryuv, Hesham Abdul Wahab, and Alejandro Martnez.

Release date and other details of the project are still under wraps.

Upcoming projects

In addition to VDxShouryuv, the actor is also set to star in the ambitious project Ranabaali.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan (known for Shyam Singha Roy), Ranabaali is a historical action-drama set between 1854 and 1878. It explores themes of resistance against colonial rule and the hardships of the Great Indian Famine.

Deverakonda plays the lead role of the fierce freedom fighter Ranabaali, while his actor-wife Rashmika Mandanna portrays his partner, Jayamma. Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo, best known for his role of the villain in The Mummy (1999), features as the antagonist in Ranabaali.

The film also marks the third collaboration between Deverakonda and Mandanna after the successful films Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.
