A ruckus was created in a Hyderabad theatre during the re-release of Darling, starring Prabhas and Kajal Aggarwal. The film was brought back to screens during a lull in Telugu releases. One of the viral clips showed a man being beaten by individuals in blue uniforms, believed to be theatre staff.

The man is seen trying to fight back as he is surrounded, shouted at, and hit. In the footage, a woman in uniform appears to ask him to leave, while another staff member strikes him with a stick.

Another video from the incident shows the situation escalating further, with the same woman removing her slippers to hit the man, while others continue to punch him.

However, accounts of what led to the altercation remain unclear. Some online users claim the man was assaulted after he asked the theatre to replay songs from the film, while others allege he misbehaved with a female staff member. A few reports also suggest he may have been intoxicated. The theatre has not issued any official statement so far.

However, another account shared a video from a different angle, claiming that the man being beaten was his friend. The viral X post claimed that the woman snatched the bag first, and when they raised an issue about it, the management came, and a ruckus was created, and they started hitting people with sticks.

Darling has returned to theatres 16 years after its original release, and the 4K remastered version has opened to a strong response at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film sold over 2 lakh tickets and earned Rs 7.59 crore worldwide on Day 1.
