Mouni Roy's Cannes lookbook ft. Gujarat's Patola, diamonds and more
Mouni Roy slayed at Cannes Film Festival this year in a variety of silhouettes, ranging from a strapless gown and a collared mini dress to a traditional kurti.

Dripping in diamonds and dressed in an experimental gown, actor Mouni Roy made a striking turn on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday. The 2026 edition of the annual international film festival marks Roy’s third visit to Cannes.
Roy was all smiles as she posed for photographers on the red carpet. The outing comes a week after Roy and her husband, Suraj Nambiar, announced their separation. In a joint statement shared on May 14, Roy and Nambiar said that they have decided to part ways and requested privacy on the matter.
As for her Cannes red carpet look, the diva wore an edgy strapless gown from Caroline’s Couture. The label is helmed by Caroline Scheufele, who also serves as the co-president and artistic director of jewellery brand Chopard. The gown featured intricate sheer latticework throughout, accentuating a figure-hugging silhouette before cascading into an elegant A-line skirt.
She completed the look with a dazzling diamond choker from Chopard, paired with a wristwatch and oversized statement rings. Roy kept her makeup in line with her signature style - dramatic kohl-rimmed smoky eyes, defined brows, fluttery lashes and a nude lip shade. Letting the outfit and jewellery steal all the attention, she tied her hair in a sleek bun.
Roy’s Cannes 2026 fashion game did not begin or conclude with this look, though. There are other outfits too that deserve your attention. The first one being this collared, monochrome mini dress with a bold cutout detail.
Next, she stepped out in a striking blue ensemble celebrating Gujarat’s iconic Patola craft. The actor wore a sleeveless kurti-gown crafted from Patola textile handwoven by the team at The House of Patola. The body-hugging silhouette was paired with a monotone blue skirt-like drape, adding a touch of visual drama to the look.
