Sridevi was too young to go, says Himmatwala co-star Jeetendra

Sridevi died a day before her film Himmatwala completed 35 years. The 1983 film turned out to be one of the biggest hits of that year. And the news of her sudden death has left her Himmatwala co-actor shocked.

Jeetendra, who worked with Sridevi in a handful of films, told India Today, "I am deeply anguished and depressed. She was such a young and lively person. She was too young to go."

He added, "Himmatwala was a big turning point for both of us. Both of us wanted the film to work well so that we could revive our careers. She helped me forget my last film's debacle. It was her first blockbuster in Hindi cinema."
