India on Thursday condoled Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's death who was killed in a combined military operation launched by the US and Israel on Saturday. Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri signed the book of condolence for Khamenei on Thursday in New Delhi and also spoke to the Iranian envoy. Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held diplomatic talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araghchi as India monitors the safety of 9.5 million nationals in West Asia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the expanding conflict, which now impacts Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Saudi Arabia.
And amid escalating tensions in West Asia, the US conducted a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile test off the California coast.
