Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be chairing a Council of Ministers meeting shortly to address the economic impact of the West Asia conflict and the Strait of Hormuz deadlock. He will also be reviewing the functioning of various ministries, key decisions taken and their outcomes , future plans and other subjects. The meeting will be attended by all cabinet ministers, ministers of state with independent charge and other ministers of state. This will be the first meeting of the council of ministers this year, amidst speculation of a cabinet reshuffle. Simultaneously, North India is facing a severe heatwave with temperatures exceeding forty-eight degrees Celsius, leading to increased heatstroke cases and health warnings. Rising summer pollution levels, driven by desert dust and ground-level ozone, have triggered the implementation of GRAP 1 measures in Delhi. In another development, the newly formed Cockroach Janta Party, whose X account was withheld, has crossed 14 million Instagram followers, beating Congress and the BJP.
