West Asia war enters second month, Iran charges $2 million for Hormuz passage, more

The West Asia conflict intensifies as the US military's 'Operation Epic Fury' strikes over 11,000 targets in Iran, destroying more than 150 naval vessels. In response to U.S. actions and threats from President Donald Trump to target its infrastructure, Iran has mobilized its military and asserted control over the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran implemented a 'pay for passage' system, requiring vessels to gain clearance and pay tolls for escorted transit, leading to a maritime traffic jam of over 2,000 ships. This move challenges international maritime law, which Iran defends on security grounds.
