A massive political showdown has erupted after former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan joined Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan on Wednesday. Raghuram Rajan said the next year will be difficult for the Indian economy as also for the rest of the world and the country failed to "generate reforms" needed for growth.

Meanwhile, BJP took a swipe at Rajan over his joining the Rahul Gandhi-led yatra and said his commentary on India's economy should be discarded with "disdain" as it is "coloured and opportunistic".
