As the showdown between the government and the opposition continued for a second day on Tuesday, eight Opposition MPs were suspended from the Lok Sabha for 'unruly behaviour' after they tore papers and threw them at the Chair. The ruckus erupted after Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was again denied an opportunity to cite an article based on excerpts from an unpublished 'memoir' of former Army chief M M Naravane on India-China conflict of 2020.

Meanwhile, Congress members, led by Rahul Gandhi, staged a protest outside the Parliament building against the suspension of party members while NDA MPs slammed the behaviour of opposition MPs in the House.
