In an exclusive interview with India Today, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin and Press Secretary to President Putin, discussed the escalating tensions surrounding the Iran crisis and its global economic impact. Peskov warned about the severe consequences of the conflict, stating, "A leader of a country should not be killed by another country." He clarified that Russia is not a participant in the war but condemned the aggression against Iran, emphasising the need to restore international law. Addressing energy concerns, Peskov assured that Russia remains a reliable supplier despite illegal sanctions, highlighting that they have very sophisticated cooperation with India. He also mentioned President Putin's previous proposal to take custody of Iran's enriched uranium, which the United States rejected. Furthermore, Peskov touched upon the United States blockading the coast of Iran, the upcoming BRICS Summit in India, and Russia's continuing relationship with Cuba and Venezuela.
