KKR suffer big blow as Angkrish Raghuvanshi ruled out of must-win DC clash
Kolkata Knight Riders have lost Angkrish Raghuvanshi to a concussion and a fractured finger ahead of the Delhi Capitals game. The setback weakens both their batting and wicketkeeping options with playoff qualification still on the line.

Kolkata Knight Riders have suffered a big blow ahead of their must-win clash against Delhi Capitals as Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been ruled out of the match in Kolkata on Sunday, May 24. Raghuvanshi suffered a concussion and a fractured finger during their win against the Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, May 20. He was replaced during the game by Tejasvi Singh Dahiya during KKR's chase at the Eden Gardens.
"Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been ruled out of 2026 TATA Indian Premier League after sustaining a concussion and a fracture to a finger on his left hand while attempting a catch during Kolkata Knight Riders’s match against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, 20 May," read the statement from KKR.
Raghuvanshi has enjoyed his best IPL season this year for KKR despite their slow start to the campaign. In 13 matches, he has scored 422 runs, with five fifites to his name and is KKR's highest run-getter this campaign.
WHO WILL REPLACE RAGHUVANSHI?
The absence of Raghuvanshi also comes as a blow in the wicketkeeping department as he has donned the gloves for most of the games for KKR this season.
In his absence, it remains to be seen if Kolkata will put their weight around Tejasvi, who finally made his debut during the MI clash as a concussion substitute. Finn Allen can also don the gloves but has mostly been used as the impact sub option by the three-time IPL champions.
Apart from Tejasvi, KKR will also be tempted to bring back Ramandeep Singh back into the team. The all-rounder played just eight matches this season for Kolkata before making way for Manish Pandey in the lineup.
Kolkata have playoff qualification in their hands, especially if the results of the PBKS vs LSG and MI vs RR clashes go in their favour. If Punjab and Rajasthan lose their matches and KKR can beat DC at home, then they will go through to the playoffs.
