Krunal Pandya excited about Virat Kohli's slump? RCB star explains bizarre statement

Virat Kohli hasn't scored a run in the last two games he has played in the IPL 2026. This is a cause of concern for Kohli and RCB fans, but Krunal Pandya seems to be unfazed. In fact, the all-rounder said that he is actually enjoying the slump for Kohli.

The RCB star batter was dismissed in the LSG loss by a stunner from Prince Yadav and against MI in Raipur, Kohli got out on the very first ball he faced from Deepak Chahar. RCB has lost a bit of steam in the last few games, and it has coincided with Kohli's slump, which has seen him score 51 runs in the last four games.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Krunal brushed aside all worries and explained why he is excited seeing Kohli struggling at the moment.

The all-rounder said that it is during such phases that Kohli produces a special knock and makes a comeback.

“First of all sir, Virat Kohli is a champion player. If he doesn’t score runs in two matches, I actually get more excited because you know Virat Kohli is going to come back strongly. He has a huge hunger inside him. He is a different beast, right?" said Krunal.

NO TENSION ABOUT KOHLI'

Krunal further stated that there is worry in the RCB camp about Kohli's form and he will soon be back in his best form.

"So there’s never any tension when it comes to Virat Kohli. Everyone knows what he is and what he can do. I’m pretty sure that from here, Virat Kohli will again do Virat Kohli things. There’s no doubt about it," said Krunal.

Despite his indifferent run with the bat in recent times, Kohli has enjoyed a great season with RCB so far. He has scored 379 runs in 11 matches at an average of 42.11 and a strike-rate of 163.36, scoring three fifties this season.

RCB will face KKR next in Raipur on May 13.
