Bests and worsts in IPL 2023 so far

Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal hit his maiden IPL hundred in a game against Mumbai Indians. The batter could have had scored another century but fell short by just two runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. 

Virat Kohli became the first player to hit 7000 runs in the history of Indian Premier League. The RCB star also completed 250 games for the franchise (235 in IPL and 15 in Champions League T20). 

Rajasthan Royals legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal surpassed Chennai Super Kings legend Dwayne Bravo (183 wicket) to take the most wickets in the history of IPL. 
 

Piyush Chawla silenced his critics for playing IPL at the age of 34. The veteran legspinner is Mumbai Indians' wicket-taking option in IPL 2023, having picked up 19 wickets in 12 games so far. 

The IPL 2023 witnessed its one of the ugliest controveries, involving Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir. The two had a war of words after RCB defended 126 against LSG in Lucknow. The two, along with Naveen-ul-Haq, were fined by BCCI for breaching the IPL code of conduct.
