Jannik Sinner, after his first-round win, addressed concerns about increased pressure with Carlos Alcaraz missing:

“Pressure is always gonna be there. It’s part of us as tennis players. Everyone has pressure in their work… If you don’t feel the pressure, it means you don’t care. I do care a lot about what I’m trying to achieve on court. At the same time, I know the world is not going down if I lose. I try to do my best and put myself in the best possible position.”

At 24 Grand Slams and counting, the fire for a record-breaking 25th still burns bright in 39-year-old Novak Djokovic. After surviving a stern first-round test, the Serbian great now faces France’s world No. 74 Valentin Royer in the next round.
