“Monthly expenses as a 26-year-old in Bangalore,” he said in the clip, adding that he works a 9-to-5 job at Amazon and lives alone in a rented 1BHK apartment in HSR Layout.
Parihar’s rent alone costs Rs 20,000 a month but he said he considers it worth the price after visiting other parts of Bengaluru.
He added that rented furniture and appliances, including a sofa, fridge and bed, cost him another Rs 4,000 monthly.
Parihar said he cooks one meal every day, spending around Rs 4,000 a month on groceries. His weekday office lunches and snacks cost approximately Rs 250 per day, taking his monthly food expenses for workdays to around Rs 5,000.
On weekends, he spends roughly Rs 1,000 on outside food, bringing his monthly weekend dining expense to about Rs 4,000.
Apart from food and rent, Parihar listed petrol expenses of Rs 1,500 a month for his bike and a gym membership that works out to around Rs 1,300 monthly.
He also mentioned spending around Rs 2,000 a month on clothes and allocating roughly Rs 10,000 monthly towards travel, as he takes trips every two months.
His electricity bill, he said, comes to around Rs 500 monthly.
Parihar added that while his supplements would normally cost around Rs 10,000 a month, he currently pays nothing for them because of sponsorships linked to his fitness content.
“Rounding it off to a total of Rs 51,000 a month to live a decent life,” he said in the video.
