A municipal sanitation worker in Indore was left injured after a 100 kilogram parcel was thrown from a bus while she was cleaning a road, prompting police to register an attempted murder case and arrest three accused in the matter.

The injured woman, identified as Sunita Bali, was carrying out cleaning work in the locality when the incident occurred. According to her complaint, a bus had been stationed in the area while she was sweeping, and she had allegedly requested the staff to move the vehicle slightly to allow proper cleaning.

Sunita further alleged that she had specifically asked the bus personnel not to throw parcels recklessly while she was nearby. However, despite her warning, a heavy parcel was allegedly tossed out of the bus, striking her and causing injuries.

The severity of the incident prompted police to register a case under charges of attempted murder. Authorities said the complaint raised serious concerns over whether the parcel had been thrown with negligence or deliberate disregard for the woman’s safety.

Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and began scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the vehicle involved. During the probe, officials reportedly noticed the words “HANSCHAAL” written on the rear side of the bus seen in the footage, which helped investigators trace those allegedly involved.

The case has triggered strong reactions online, with many social media users expressing concern over the safety of sanitation workers, especially those carrying out duties on busy roads and public spaces. Several users questioned how such a heavy object could allegedly be thrown from a vehicle without regard for people nearby, while others called for stricter accountability in cases involving negligence towards civic workers.
