Lucknow man's 'Nawaabi style' pet walk on scooter goes viral
A man in Lucknow was filmed riding a scooter while his dog walked beside him on a leash. The video amused many viewers but also prompted criticism over helmet use, one-handed riding and using a footpath.

A man from Lucknow has left social media both amused and baffled after he was spotted “walking” his dog in an unconventional way, by riding a scooter while the dog trotted beside him on a leash.
The video, shared by Instagram user Adhyayan Pandey, captured the unusual sight unfolding on a city footpath, quickly turning the moment into an online talking point.
In the clip, the camera zoomed in on a man casually riding a scooter while holding onto a leash with one hand, as his dog walked steadily beside the vehicle.
Rather than walking alongside his pet himself, the man appeared to be comfortably cruising at a slow pace, seemingly letting the dog get its exercise while he stayed seated on the scooter.
The scene became even more amusing for viewers because the man appeared completely unfazed by the unusual arrangement, continuing on as if this were a perfectly ordinary way to take a dog out for a stroll.
At the same time, the video also raised eyebrows because the scooter was being ridden on the footpath, with the rider not seen wearing a helmet as he balanced the leash in one hand and steered with the other.
The clip was shared with the caption: “People are now walking their dogs with scooters.”

Social media users reacted with a mix of humour and criticism. Some commenters indirectly questioned whether the moment should really be celebrated, pointing out concerns around road safety, including the absence of a helmet, one-handed driving, and riding a scooter on a pedestrian footpath.
Others responded more playfully, with some users jokingly saying such wonderfully bizarre moments could “only happen in Lucknow,” humorously linking the city’s laid-back charm and nawabi reputation to the unusual dog-walking technique.
Several commenters also flipped the narrative entirely, indirectly insisting that people had misunderstood the situation, arguing that it clearly looked like the dog was the one taking the man for a ride, rather than the other way around.
