Walking through the streets of Saki Naka in Mumbai, Dave Flew reflected on the emotional toll of leaving India, a country he said he has grown deeply attached to over the years.

For UK travel content creator Dave Flew, the hardest part of every India visit isn't arriving - it's leaving. In a video recorded before departing Mumbai, he spoke about the pain of saying goodbye to the country and the friends he has made here.
Walking through the streets of Saki Naka, Flew reflected on the emotional toll of leaving India, a country he said he has grown deeply attached to over the years.
“I have to be honest. The worst pain in the world possible is saying goodbye to my friends here in India. And then knowing that I am leaving,” he said in the video as he got teary-eyed.
Flew also described his affection for India, saying that every departure feels difficult.
“I love this place like no other, and it literally breaks me to go each time. I hate it. But it has to be done. Life carries on and I’ll be back. Jai Hind,” he said.
He shared the video on Instagram with a caption that echoed the same sentiment: “It breaks me every time. But, never fear! The content will keep coming.”

The post drew warm responses from users, many of whom said they understood his feelings and encouraged him to return soon. Several assured Flew that he would always be welcome in India, while others described his departure not as a goodbye but as a temporary farewell.
