A Bengaluru-based content creator has struck a chord online with a relatable take on how living in the city slowly changes everyday habits, language, and even expectations.

In a now-viral video, Syed Afreenz shares a humorous observation about how newcomers gradually “become Bangaloreans” without even realising it. Speaking directly to the camera, she walks viewers through the subtle but familiar shifts that come with spending time in India’s tech capital.

“Guys, try coming to Bangalore for six months, you’ll completely turn into a Bangalorean,” she says, before listing out the changes in a light, conversational tone. From learning to stay calm in long traffic jams to casually calling everyone “bro,” Afreenz highlights how the city’s culture seeps into daily behaviour.

She also points to the city’s well-known caf culture, joking about how spending 300 on coffee starts to feel normal over time. Adding to that is Bengaluru’s famously unpredictable weather, which often sees residents appreciating cool breezes and light rain. “Like behaving normally in traffic, calling everyone ‘bro’, feeling that a Rs 300 coffee is totally normal, and saying ‘wow, what amazing weather’ in the rain,” she says in the video.

The clip resonates because it captures shared experiences in a simple, humorous way, something many who have lived in Bengaluru can instantly relate to. Whether it is adjusting to the pace of the city or embracing its quirks, Afreenz’s observations reflect how people adapt to a new environment over time.

Encouraging others to give the city a chance, she adds, “If you’re also planning to move to Bangalore, welcome to the Bangalore gang. Bangalore will embrace you wholeheartedly. Share this reel with someone who is thinking of moving to Bangalore.”

The video has since prompted a wave of reactions online. “The weather part is the best thing about Bangalore,” one user wrote, while another added, “Moved here for work, now I can’t imagine leaving.”
