Mehbooba Mufti to meet PM Modi to discuss restoring peace in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in the backdrop of the April 9 bypoll where there was a large scale violence and low voter turnout.

In the meeting, Mufti is expected to discuss the prevailing unrest in the Valley with Modi and what could be the way forward for the alliance as well.

Mufti is also likely to meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence where there would be talks about how the security forces are being treated in the Valley.
