US pulls out of Paris Climate Accord; Trump says deal not tough on India, China

Donald Trump has said that the United States will pull out of the Paris Climate Accord, claiming that it was not tough on India and China. He alleged that the deal was negotiated "poorly" by the Obama administration.

Trump said that the Paris climate accord was an example of a pact that disadvantaged the United States of America and was in fact about other countries gaining a "financial advantage" over Washington.

The US President said that the Paris climate pact had not been strict on India and China while being unfair at the highest level to the United States.

While the pact in its present form to allow India and China to double its coal production by 2020, the United States is expected to "get rid" of its coal jobs, Trump alleged.

The US, however, will not immediately pull out of the Paris Act. Following the four-year rule to get out of the pact, the US will leave the Paris Agreement in 2020.
