West Asia war: India Today reports from frontlines in Lebanon and Israel

India Today's correspondents Ashraf Wani and Pranay Upadhyaya bring these ground reports from Lebanon and Tel Aviv on the escalating conflict in the region. From South Lebanon, it is reported that many residents cannot afford to evacuate despite ongoing Israeli bombardment, with displaced families taking shelter in hotels, with relatives, or in shrinking shelter homes across Christian villages and other areas. Major parts of Beirut city remain empty following evacuation orders from the Israeli Defense Forces, with residents returning briefly during the day but leaving by evening due to unpredictable strikes. At least eight people, including women and children, were killed in aerial strikes near Nabatia. The death toll has reportedly crossed 1,100. From Tel Aviv, it is reported that Israel is conducting intensifying coordinated airstrikes targeting infrastructure related to Iran's military-industrial complex and missile-building capabilities in Tehran, as well as operations in Beirut. Rockets fired by Hezbollah were intercepted near the Lebanon border, and apprehensions remain about potential counter-strikes by Iran.
