Feature upgrades take centre stage

Positioned above the existing Fearless X+ (Harrier) and Accomplished X+ (Safari) trims, the Ultra variants focus on enhancing in-cabin experience and everyday usability. A key highlight is the new 14.53-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring a Samsung-sourced display and Dolby Atmos audio support.

Other additions include a digital inside rearview mirror with an integrated dashcam, built-in navigation and app suite, and a dual-tone white-and-brown interior theme. Tata has also introduced practical upgrades such as a sliding front armrest, memory function for ORVMs, a high-speed 65W Type-C charging port, and a camera wash system for both front and rear parking cameras.

Red Dark editions add visual drama

For those seeking a more distinctive look, the Ultra trim is also offered in Red Dark Edition form. These versions get 19-inch blacked-out alloy wheels with red brake callipers, along with a unique Nitro Crimson exterior shade for the Harrier diesel. Inside, the cabin adopts a ‘Carnelian Red’ theme, with red-finished leatherette upholstery adding contrast to the otherwise dark interior.

Powertrain remains unchanged

Mechanically, both SUVs continue with the familiar 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic.

With the introduction of these new Ultra trims, Tata is clearly doubling down on offering a more premium experience in its diesel range, bridging the gap between feature-rich petrol variants and the traditionally popular diesel models.
