The complainant further alleged that his wife frequently sent him obscene videos and coerced him to imitate such acts. He also claimed that she insisted on sharing details of their intimate life with her friends, which caused him severe distress.

In his statement, the man alleged that his wife openly admitted to having past and ongoing relationships, and told him that his financial status was insufficient to support her lifestyle. He also accused her of habitual drinking and spending extended periods with friends, often dismissing his objections.

According to the FIR, registered on March 17, 2026, the alleged offences took place over an extended period between March 4, 2022, and September 24, 2024.

The complaint stated that a family mediation was held on July 4, 2024, in an attempt to resolve the dispute, but the alleged harassment continued thereafter.

Additionally, the complainant stated that he had entrusted his wife with significant amounts of cash and gold jewellery belonging to him and his family, which have not been returned. He also alleged that his personal documents, including his passport and educational certificates, remain at the residence.

Police have registered a case based on the complaint and said an investigation is underway.
