A video has emerged from Jaipur, showing a burning running down the roads. Flames erupted suddenly from the moving vehicle, prompting drivers around it to flee. Motorcycle riders were seen abandoning their bikes in their haste to escape.
The incident occurred near the elevated bridge at the Sodala vegetable market, where a man named Jitendra was driving his car on the Ajmer bridge during the afternoon when smoke began from the vehicle. Moments later, the car was engulfed in flames, filling the area with smoke. Realising the danger, Jitendra pulled the handbrake and jumped out of the car to save himself, but the vehicle continued to roll down the bridge.
A police vehicle, which was also on the road, alerted the fire department. Firefighters arrived promptly and worked hard to extinguish the flames. Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit was the cause of the fire. The incident caused significant traffic congestion in the area, which police managed to clear by moving the burning car off the road.
