Delhi hospitals continue to sound alarm over oxygen shortage

For more than one week now, amidst an exponential rise in the number of coronavirus cases, hospitals across Delhi and several states have been clamouring for oxygen supply. "No oxygen is available at Goyal Hospital and Urology Centre in Krishna Nagar, Delhi," an official said, adding that all concerned authorities of the Delhi government and oxygen supplier have failed to provide oxygen for last 36 hours.

The Delhi government had on Wednesday claimed that it is not receiving the oxygen quantity allocated to it by the Centre following the upsurge in Covid-19 cases even as an official order has been issued to allot a detailed proportion of the supply of the life-saving gas to hospitals.
