State govts mount pressure on Modi govt seeking centralised procurement of vaccines

After Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, now Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has joined the chorus for centralised procurement of vaccines.
Chief Minister Patnaik has written a letter to chief ministers of all states seeking consensus among the state governments to demand a centralised procurement of vaccines by the Centre saying competing with each other won't do any good.
In his 2-page letter, CM Naveen Patnaik said, " the best option available is for the Government of India to centrally procure the vaccines and distribute it among the States so that our citizens are vaccinated at the earliest."
