UP Board Result 2026 has revealed a powerful trend. Among over 52 lakh students who appeared for Class 10 and 12 exams, girls dominated almost all top three ranks. They also outperformed boys in pass percentage, continuing a strong multi-year pattern across Uttar Pradesh.
UP Board Class 10 and 12 Result 2026 is out, and beyond the pass percentages, one trend has stood out strongly. Among more than 52 lakh students who appeared for Class 10 and Class 12 exams, girls captured almost every top rank.
In the UP Board Class 12 toppers list, the top three ranks were entirely held by girls. Shikha Verma from Sitapur topped with 97.60 per cent, followed by Nandani Gupta and Shriya Verma with 97.20 per cent. Rank three also went to Surbhi Yadav and Puja Pal.
The UP Board Class 10 merit list told a similar story. Kashish Verma and Anshika Verma jointly topped with 97.83 per cent. Aditi secured second place, while Arpita and Pari Verma shared third rank. Rishabh Sahu was the only boy among the top rankers listed.
In fact, two of the first rankers -- Shikha Verma from Class 12, and Kashish Verma from Class 10 -- both hail from the same village school and come from farming families.
The UP Board Class 10 result recorded an overall pass percentage of 90.11 per cent, while the UP Board Class 12 result saw an overall pass percentage of 81.15 per cent. Girls also outperformed boys in both categories, continuing a pattern seen in recent years.
