Assembly Election 2026 Highlights: BJP will end land jihad, love jihad if it wins Bengal polls, says Amit Shah
Assembly Election Highlights: The stage is all set for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections as preparations are underway for the voting for 234 seats that will go to polls on Thursday, April 23. It will be a direct contest between the ruling DMK, with Congress and some smaller parties in alliance, led by Chief Minister MK Stalin and the bloc comprising the Edapaddi K Palaniswami-led AIADMK and the BJP, which is looking to make considerable inroads in the state. The polls will coincide with the first phase of the crucial West Bengal polls, the high-voltage campaigning for which has been acrimonious. In the first of the two phases, a total of 152 seats, out of the 294, will go to the polls. Heightened security measures have been put in place to ensure smooth and peaceful voting in the two states.
