Karnataka Assembly results: BJP, JDS-Congress battle it out at Raj Bhavan

Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala has allowed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to prove majority in the Assembly, said the party's chief ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa on Tuesday evening.

Talking to the reporters after meeting Governor Vajubhai Vala, Yeddyurappa said, "Just now we met the Governor because we are the single largest party, and that he allows us to prove majority in the Assembly."

Soon after BJP, Congress-Janata Dal-Secular too staked claim to form the government after the Karnataka election threw up a hung Assembly.
