Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday took a dig at Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's security breach, asking how he would secure the state if he couldn't protect the PM of India.
“Channi Sahib is dreaming of forming a Congress government in Punjab again. A CM who cannot provide a secure route to the prime minister of India, can he provide security to Punjab?,” Shah said while addressing a rally in Ludhiana ahead of the Punjab Assembly polls.
The union minister was referring to the security breach in Ferozepur that left PM Modi stranded on a flyover for 20 minutes last month.
