The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule and the dates for the Bihar Election 2020. The election will be held in three phases from October 28 to November 7 and the votes polled in the state assembly polls will be counted on November 10.
Bihar Election 2020 is the first major election being held amid the coronavirus pandemic. Elaborating on the safety measures to be taken during the election process, Chief Election Commissioner of India, Sunil Arora, said, “Over 7 lakh hand sanitiser units, about 46 lakh masks, 6 lakh PPE kits, 6.7 lakh units of faces-shields, 23 lakh (pairs of) hand gloves have been arranged. For voters specifically, 7.2 crore single-use hand gloves have been arranged.” Watch this video to know more.
