If all goes as planned, Koffee With Karan Season 9 is expected to stream on JioHotstar by the end of this year. However, the deal for the new season has not been finalised yet.
What to expect from Season 9
According to a MidDay report, the upcoming season might feature shorter segments focused on current topics. The show plans to include a wider range of guests, inviting not only Bollywood stars but also celebrities from the South Indian film industry, OTT actors, and digital creators. Recent seasons have already seen participation from South Indian stars sharing their views.
In an earlier interview with critic and YouTuber Sucharita Tyagi, Karan described the eighth season's rapid-fire round as "the most boring rapid fire in the history of the show." He added, "Season 9 will come back with a new syntax."
A look back at Season 8
The eighth season premiered in October 2023 and concluded in January 2024.
It featured notable guests such as Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday, and Kareena Kapoor Khan with Alia Bhatt. Other participants included Varun Dhawan with Sidharth Malhotra, Kajol with Rani Mukerji, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani, Aditya Roy Kapur alongside Arjun Kapoor, Ajay Devgn with Rohit Shetty, and Sharmila Tagore with Saif Ali Khan.
