Vadodara SP Sushil Agarwal told India Today that a DMart tag was found on the bedsheet that was used to wrap the victim's body. Based on this, police teams scanned CCTV footage of all DMarts, which revealed the buyer's identity and that he purchased the piece of item two days before the murder. The accused was caught within a few hours in Netrang.

The probe has also revealed that Rohan Parmar, a resident of Bodeli, worked at a cafe in the city. Meanwhile, Divya Parmar, worked at a private hospital located opposite to the cafe.
