A massive water tank belonging to the Kochi Corporation’s 45th Division burst early this morning in Thammanam, flooding the area and damaging homes and vehicles. The tank, with a capacity of 1.35 crore liters, contained about 1.15 crore liters of water at the time. Around ten nearby houses were waterlogged, walls collapsed, and several vehicles were damaged after one of the tank’s two chambers gave way. Water supply to several parts of Kochi will remain disrupted today following the incident.
