Principal, HoD shamed, threatened Odisha student, claims FIR

In the case of a Balasore student who self-immolated after alleging sexual harassment, the victim's family has filed an FIR. The complaint alleges that the college principal and the Head of Department (HOD) shamed and threatened the student minutes before her death. According to the family's statement in the FIR, she was called into the principal's office, manipulated to withdraw her complaint, and forced to apologize to her alleged harasser. The FIR quotes the principal as having warned her, “You won't be able to show your face to anyone.” Following these allegations, the crime branch has taken over the investigation and is interrogating both the principal and the HOD.
