A man has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh for killing his maternal uncle, motivated by unrequited love for his aunt. The case took an interesting turn after investigation revealed that he had disguised his death as a road accident.
The incident came to light on the night of March 13 in Rampur district after the victim’s body was found lying on the road, in what seemed like a road accident.
However, injury marks on the neck and face raised suspicion, leading to a post-mortem examination that confirmed strangulation. A police investigation identified the nephew, Virendra, and his accomplice, Jitendra alias Chhotu, as the killers.
Additional Superintendent of Police Anurag Singh said that Virendra wanted to kill his uncle because he had developed romantic feelings for his wife – the accused's maternal aunt.
