Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hailed the new farm laws as farmers continue their agitation at Delhi borders.

Addressing a rally in Varanasi, PM Narendra Modi defended the new farm laws accused the opposition parties of misleading farmers and "playing tricks" again on them.

"Decades of deceit are making farmers apprehensive and they are seeing the new move in the same manner but now there is no deceit. Work is being done with intentions as pure as Ganga jal," PM Narendra Modi said.
