Watch: Amid Omicron threat, EC to announce assembly poll dates soon

Election season is upon us, and that’s why the Election Commission is likely to announce poll dates for five states very soon. The five states heading for assembly elections in the next few months are Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab and Manipur. But the rapidly spreading Omicron variant has sparked concerns over safe conduct of elections.
