The mother of the 12-year-old girl, who was gang raped in Ayodhya, has alleged that local leaders of the Samajwadi Party offered her money to withdraw the complaint against the accused, who is a party functionary. Speaking exclusively to India Today TV, the mother said that one Rashid, whom she referred to as 'chairman', offered her money and asked her to settle the case. On July 30, the police arrested local Samajwadi Party leader Moid Khan, who runs a bakery in Bhadarsa Nagar of Ayodhya district, and his employee Raju Khan, for allegedly gang raping and impregnating a 12-year-old girl, who was an employee at Khan's bakery.
