BJP is a potent force in Punjab, says Hardeep Puri

In an exclusive interview with India Today’s Rahul Kanwal, Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri said the BJP without the Shiromani Akali Dal is a “more potent and viable force” in Punjab ahead of the Assembly election.

"In the 117-seat Punjab Assembly, the BJP has never contested more than 20-23 seats. Even in urban areas, sometimes the BJP didn’t do well because its alliance with SAD led to apprehensions and distrust for many reasons,” he said.
