The wrestlers protesting against Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh held a mahapanchayat in Sonipat on Saturday. The grapplers informed the farmers at the mahapanchayat about the talk they had with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and said the government is not ready to arrest the WFI chief.
Bajrang Punia said if the government does not agree to their demands, they will resume their protest at Jantar Mantar after June 15. The protest is currently on hold after Anurag Thakur said that the probe into the sexual harassment allegations against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh will be completed by June 15.
Sakshi Mallik and Satyawart Kadian also attended the mahapanchayat.
