Mamata Banerjee on RG Kar rape case verdict: Not satisfied, demanded death penalty

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said that she was not satisfied with the court giving life imprisonment to the convict in the RG Kar hospital rape-murder case. She added that she demanded death penalty for the convict Sanjay Roy.

Earlier in the day, a CBI court sentenced Sanjay Roy to imprisonment till death in the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital last year.
