Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive election rally in Samastipur, in the Mithila region of Bihar, just ahead of the Chhath Puja festival. The Prime Minister stated, 'pura Bihar kah raha hai fir ek baar NDA sarkar fir ek Ek baar suhasan sarkar jangil raj walon ko dur rakhega Bihar'. He began his speech in the local Maithili language, paying tribute to the sacred land of Sita and Janaki and mentioning revered local temples like Baba Kusheshwar Nath. Expressing awe at the large turnout despite the festive season, Modi contrasted it with his home state of Gujarat. He assured the crowd that an NDA victory would usher in a 'new pace' of development for Bihar, reinforcing his party's key campaign message for the state elections.
