Nikita Tomar murder case: SIT begins probe, quizzes victim's family

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has now begun the investigation in the Nikita Tomar murder case.

SIT led by ACP Crime Anil Kumar quizzed Nikita's family about the murder by accused Touseef and Rehan. The family was asked about its 2018 FIR against Touseef for kidnapping Nikita.

The team is also probing a possible angle of Love Jihad in the case after Nikita's family claimed that Touseef had been forcing Nikita to marry her and convert to Islam.

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has promised to probe charges that Congress tried to influence the 2018 probe and forced the family to withdraw its earlier FIR.
