Assam's Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that he will soon write to the Centre seeking a ban on Popular Front of India (PFI). He said that Assam govt is waiting for a report and then his govt will approach the Centre to ban the outfit.
Earlier, UP had written to the Union Home Ministry seeking a ban on the PFI after its Uttar Pradesh head and 16 other activists were arrested for allegedly masterminding the violence in the state capital during anti-CAA protests.
