Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said the odd-even scheme, aimed at curbing pollution in the national capital, will be applicable from November 4 to 15. Each day, the scheme will be applicable for 12 hours starting at 8 am in the morning till 8 pm.
Meanwhile, there are many who have been exempted from following the scheme as stated by Kejriwal. President, vice-president, governors, CJI, Union ministers and chief ministers of other states are exempted from following the scheme. Among others, any enforcement vehicles, ambulances, Army, para-military forces, pilots, embassy personnel, and SPG cover vehicles are exempted from the rule. Women-only vehicles, security officers, vehicles with children in school uniform, disabled persons and those with medical emergencies will also not be required to follow the rule.
