60,000 people applied for repatriation from UAE: Indian envoy to Saudi Arabia

India Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dr, Ausaf Sayeed, while speaking to India Today TV, said that there are around 60,000 people who have registered with the embassy for repatriation. He said that THose who were returned to India from Saudi Arabia on Friday on Air India flights were "compelling cases, where people deserved to be returned back". This includes "those distressed workers who have lost their jobs, medical emergency cases, pregnant nurses, pilgrims who had come here and were stranded for a couple of months...", he said.
