Channi, Sidhu to be face of Cong in Punjab polls: Randeep Surjewala issues clarification

The Congress party's chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said on Monday that the party's 'face' for the 2022 Punjab election will be Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi along with Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and all capable leaders of the party. This comes after Congress Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat triggered controversy by stating on Sunday that the upcoming assembly election will be fought under Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Navjot Singh Sidhu.
