Sachin Vaze, the 'encounter specialist', has been dismissed from the Mumbai Police. An assistant police inspector (API), Vaze, is in NIA custody in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case and Mansukh Hiren death case. In a statement on Tuesday, the Mumbai Police commissioner confirmed that an order has been issued for Sachin Vaze's dismissal from the police force.
Sachin Vaze was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) over his alleged involvement in the Antilia bomb scare case. An SUV, laden with explosives, was parked outside the Mumbai residence of Reliance Industries owner Mukesh Ambani on February 25.
A probe into the matter led the Maharashtra ATS to Sachin Vaze, who had been reinstated to the Mumbai Police after facing a suspension that lasted more than 15 years.
